Service Description
At Music Smithy, we offer an affordable small-group option with just two students per instructor, making music lessons fun and accessible for younger students (ages 4–13) and beginners of all ages. This format is perfect for beginner teams, such as parent/child pairs, siblings, or friends, who want to learn an instrument together in a supportive, engaging environment. Our 30-minute sessions provide a focused introduction to music, giving each student personalized instruction while enjoying the benefits of learning alongside a peer. Whether you’re a child starting your musical journey or an adult beginner, this format offers a wonderful opportunity to bond, collaborate, and develop musical skills. Lessons cover the fundamentals of music, including instrument basics, rhythm, and note-reading, helping students build confidence and creativity at their own pace. The shared experience also encourages teamwork, motivation, and the joy of making music together. Lessons are available in-person, providing a warm and encouraging environment that inspires a lifelong love of music. It’s a great way to begin a musical journey with someone special while learning together!
Cancellation Policy
All studio sessions must be booked through our online booking system. A session is not confirmed until payment is made at the time of booking. Once confirmed, an automatic confirmation email will be sent. Session times are reserved exclusively for the client(s) and cannot be extended due to late arrival. Full payment or any required deposit is due at booking. Prices listed online apply to studio time only unless otherwise stated. Any additional time or services requested during a session will be billed separately and are subject to availability. For duet or paired lessons, both students are expected to attend together at the scheduled session time. If only one student attends, the session will still be charged at the full two-student (duet) rate. No partial refunds or rate adjustments will be made for absences. Cancellations must be made through the online booking system at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session time. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, including same-day cancellations and no-shows, will result in a full charge of the session fee. Refunds for late cancellations may be issued at the studio’s discretion if the reason for cancellation is deemed valid. Clients may reschedule a session once without penalty if the request is made at least 48 hours in advance and is subject to studio availability. Repeated rescheduling may require full prepayment for future bookings. Sessions will end at the originally scheduled time regardless of arrival time. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may be considered a no-show at the studio’s discretion, with no refund. If the studio must cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost. By booking a session online, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this scheduling and cancellation policy. The studio reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
